Gasoline Harry takes inspiration from the golden eras of art, motoring, motorsport and just all-round great style, when travel was itself an art form and bags were made to last. We won’t accept anything but the best because we know you won’t.
All our bags are manufactured in the heart of Johannesburg from South-African-sourced 100% top-grain bovine hide, vegetable dyed so the colour runs right through the leather, which means they’ll age and gain character and patina without losing their identity.
One of our great passions is motorsport in all its glorious forms and we can’t deny that that has influenced the exterior design of some of the bags. However, we get that cars and bikes going round in circles is not everyone’s thing. However, the basic bag design is still a work of art so we have a bespoke section where you can configure the exterior of the bag to your own tastes; a logo or other decoration of your choice on the outside to match the colour of leather hide you choose. You tell us what you want, and we’ll make it happen.
We welcome enquiries from private individuals and corporates alike but please bear in mind that we make strictly to order, so allow at least two weeks if you are buying for a birthday or event. We freely admit to being obsessed with anything that goes fast and runs on gasoline, be it on two wheels, or four. But we are also excited by good design, style, quality and anything unique.
We are passionate about bringing your ideas to life. We built Gasoline Harry on one simple premise; spend our time creating what we think is stylish, while keeping an eye on superior quality. We work hard but make sure we have the time to do the other things we love, which generally involves riding bikes and driving cars, building them, breaking them, fixing them, starting again, coming up with hare-brained schemes and wondering why they all didn’t come off!
